I see the quickest growth when we focus on chord scale theory in the style that YOU prefer. I usually have players choose a ballad, medium and up tempo song in their preferred style. We then work on learning parts, technique, time/feel, fingering patterns for scales, chord vocab and then different ways of interpreting pieces and melodic developments techniques to help players start the journey of developing their own styles. Can't wait!!
